DIGITAL RESOURCES

Elting Library believes connecting people with the resources they need to improve their lives is important. Today, information comes in many formats, therefore we try to provide many ways to consume that information.

These resources are provided free to the residents of Ulster County through the work of your County Executive, the Ulster County Legislature, and your local library.

Elting Memorial Library is now offering various major newspapers at no cost to patrons, with access from your home or in the library. You can read these newspapers by using your library card number.

For each publication, patrons can read today’s issue or select a date of a back issue. You can also share an article via email, get a citation, and save it to your own research collection. The offerings for each publication go back decades; for example, the New York Times from 1980 is available in the collection, both in full text and citation/abstract.

These major daily newspapers are offered courtesy of funding from the Ulster County Legislature.
